The 40 Developmental Assets are concrete, common sense, positive experiences and qualities essential to raising successful young people. These assets have the power during critical adolescent years to influence choices young people make and help them become caring, responsible adults.

The assets were designed by Search Institute, an independent nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide leadership, knowledge, and resources to promote healthy children, youth, and communities.

Character Counts! offers parents, teachers, children and youth with a solid foundation in positve values and morals. The six pillars of character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship provide young people with a clear path to success.

The Training GROUP

This group of government and private partners is dedicated to the training, implementation and use of the 40 Developmental Assets and Character Counts!. Members of this training group are ready and willing to provide  workshops to your school, church group, organization or company.
